The information presented is an unofficial guide to how courses may transfer. Other factors to consider are grades received in the courses, the year in which the course was taken, and the major pursued after transfer. If you complete the following at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College:

  • 3 hours. Prerequisite: Exemption from or successful completion of READ 0099 and ENGL 0099. A survey of World History from early modern times to the present. Issues addressed include the emergence of democracy, totalitarianism, nationalism, and internationalism; analysis of the principal social institutions with the factors and forces influencing them; and the economic aspects of societies during these centuries. Spring.

You may receive up to 3.00 credits at The Citadel:

  • A survey of the development of human civilizations, with special attention to cultural borrowing, demographic change, technological development, religion and philosophy. Topics examined in the first semester include the first civilizations of the Near East, the Mediterranean, Africa, Asia, and the Americas, the rise of bureaucratic empires, the spread of world religions, feudalism, and the Silk Road. Topics examined in the second semester include the Columbian Exchange, the African slave trade, the scientific revolution, industrialization, imperialism, and nationalism.
