  Yes. Transfer students are accepted into the Corps of Cadets only at the beginning of the fall semester. Transfer students are accepted into non-cadet programs at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  Cumulative GPA of 2.5 preferred
• Official Transcripts:
  High School & Previous College Transcripts
• SAT Scores:
  Optional, but not required
• Letters of Recommendation:
  Optional, but not required
• Essay:
  Optional, but not required
• Application Fee:
  $40 application fee. To receive consideration for academic scholarship, please apply before October 1st. If offered academic acceptance, you must submit a $300.00 deposit.
• Interview:
  Not required, but campus visits are encouraged.
• Other Requirements:
  1) High School Graduate or GED
  2) medically approved by The Citadel Surgeon.
  3) Must not be married
  4) Must be at least 17 and less than 23 years of age on the date of matriculation

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  Must earn a grade of "C" or higher to be considered for transfer credit.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  In order to earn a Citadel degree, a student must spend at least three (3) years as a full-time student at The Citadel--regardless of how much college work has been attempted or transferred.
