Financial Information

• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  Various applications are required for scholarship assistance. For all financial assistance, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Questions? Contact the Financial Resources Office at 803-327-8005.

Information for Transfer In Students

• Accepts Transfers:
  Yes. York Technical College accepts transfer students. Students may complete and submit an application for admission at www.yorktech.com or in the Admissions Office. An official transcript should be submitted for evaluation of credit.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  Not applicable
• Official Transcripts:
  Official transcripts are required for evaluation of course credit; however, unofficial transcripts can be reviewed to determine eligibility for transfer admission.
• SAT Scores:
  SAT/ACT scores are not required, but can be used to determine eligibility for admission and/or course placement.
• Letters of Recommendation:
  Not required

• Other Requirements:
  Transfer admission is based upon successful completion ("C" or better) of at least one college-level English and math course.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  A grade of C or better must have been earned in each course to be considered for transfer.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  At least 25 percent of semester credit hours required for program completion must be earned through instruction at York Technical College.

Information for Transfer Out Students

• Transfer Agreements:
  The South Carolina Commission on Higher Education has established a list of technical college courses which are universally accepted by South Carolina's state-supported colleges and universities. York Technical College offers many of these courses.
