  Description: This course introduces object-oriented programming technologies for the Web with a focus on the server side. Object-oriented technologies will be taught to develop highly interactive and dynamic web applications. Topics include the object-oriented web programming environment, techniques and methods, development tools, database server and data access, session and security control, web application configuration and deployment. Each student must write a series of programs in the language, and be knowledgeable in the details of the language. This course will focus on current languages commonly used in the data analysis and data visualization pipeline. The specific language choices will depend on common practice and will be decided by the instructor. Prerequisite: A grade of C- or better in CSCI 151 or CSCI 207.
