Description: An exploration of how some communities defined by race, gender, ethnicity, class, country of origin, occupation, geography, language, religion, etc. bear a disproportionate share of negative environmental consequences resulting from industrial, governmental, and commercial operations or policies. Prerequisites: ANTH 201; or permission of the instructor; or graduate status. Notes: Cross-listed as ANTH 540 and BIOL 540. Offered in fall of odd years.
