Description: Preparing public relations messages for different media platforms including digital and traditional. Creating news releases, public service announcements, press kits, audiovisual presentations, fliers, pamphlets, brochures, newsletters, direct mail, and corporate advertising. Planning special events and news conferences. Prerequisite: C- or better in MCOM 226, MCOM 241 and IMCO/MCOM 370, 2.00 GPA and MCOM or IMCO major status or written permission of department chair. MCOM 226 may be also be taken co-requisite. Notes: Previously offered as MCOM 471. Intensive Writing course. Offered in spring and fall. Lab Fee: $40.
