Emphasizes basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components of packaging machinery along with packaging machinery terminology. Discusses methods for machine line optimization and layout. Preq: Packaging Science major or minor or Food Science and Human Nutrition major; and either FDSC 4170 or both PKSC 1020 and 2010.
