This course extends students' understanding of teaching and assessing PreK-Grade 3 foundational and new literacies related to reading, writing, listening, speaking, viewing and designing. Students will explore current theories, research, instructional practices, and assessments for teaching and learning with print and nonprint texts, tools, and practices significant to early childhood literacies development.
