Fundamentals of plant biology, including characteristics of major groups, life cycles, anatomy, development, ecology, evolution, economic uses, and environmental services. Laboratory exercises include hands-on, outdoors, and digital activities, such as growing plants, using identification keys, and analyzing patterns in plant diversity. Restricted to students in the contiguous United States, excluding CA, OR, and WA. Three lecture and three laboratory hours per week. Corequisite: BIOL U220L.
