(3 credits) (Prereq: A grade of'C' or better in PUBH 388 and either STAT 201 and STAT 201L, CBAD 291, POLI 205 or PSYC 225 and PSYC 225L) An introduction to the fundamentals of research design and applications of research strategies and its application to public health. In addition, evaluation models are reviewed with practical applications in the classroom, laboratory, and field settings. This course serves as an introduction to quantitative, qualitative, and mixed method approaches to research and evaluation, as well as ethical issues in conducting research. F, S.
