(Prereq: Grade of C or better in ENGL A101 and A102, Senior standing, completion of at least 12 hours at the 300 level or above, consent of instructor, and successful completion of the writing proficiency portfolio or ENGL A201). A seminar in which the students apply to instructor-selected literature the critical and analytical skills developed in their previous course work. Students will produce a critical analytical paper of approximately fifteen pages on literature of their own choosing. The course will culminate in an oral defense of the final paper within the context of the seminar and before the faculty seminar committee.
