(Prereq: THEA A151 or permission from instructor; Coreq: THEA A223) A study of the fundamental concepts and technology involved in the creation and execution of theatrical lighting designs, this course covers topics including qualities and functions of stage lighting, distribution techniques, color theory, research techniques, instrumentation, design process, graphics, paperwork, and electrical theory. This course contains a substantial technology component and satisfies the technology arts option for the Bachelor of Arts - Major in Fine Arts.
