Financial Information

• Scholarships and Financial Aid:
  Transfer students may apply for scholarships. For financial aid, complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA ) and submit it via the web at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Contact the Financial Aid Office at (864) 250-8128.

Information for Transfer In Students

• Accepts Transfers:
  Yes. Submit official college transcripts to Admissions. Twelve university transfer credits from a regionally accredited postsecondary institution (grade of “C” or higher) will waive proof of high school/GED completion and the reading placement test.
• Transfer Agreements:
  Greenville Technical College has transfer and Articulation Agreements with many four year colleges and universities. Contact the Planning and Transfer Headquarters (PATH) at PATH@my.gvltec.edu for more information.

Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  While the College has an open admissions policy, individual programs may have specific entry requirements and placement testing may be required.
• Official Transcripts:
  Official college transcripts must be submitted to the Admissions Office. A student copy (unofficial personal copy) may be used for admission/advising for one semester only. Health Sciences/Nursing programs require official high school transcript.
• SAT Scores:
  SAT/ACT scores are not required but those scores will be reviewed for placement purposes as appropriate. Test scores must be taken within the last 5 years.
• Letters of Recommendation:
  Not required.
• Essay:
  Not required.
• Application Fee:
  Not required.
• Interview:
  Not required.
• Other Requirements:
  Students transferring to Greenville Technical College must attend a Planning and Advisement for Student Success (PASS) Session. Prior to applying to a Health Sciences/Nursing program students are required to attend a Career Talk session.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  College credit with a grade of “C” or better from regionally accredited postsecondary institutions will possibly qualify for transfer credit. Credit will be awarded by the Transcript Evaluation Office upon receipt/evaluation of official transcripts.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  To earn an award, all program course requirements in the applicable catalog must be completed and a minimum of 25 percent of the total hours required in the program must be completed through instruction at Greenville Technical College.

Information for Transfer Out Students

• Number of Transferring:
  Approximately 1,500 students transfer to four year colleges and universities per academic year.
• Transfer Agreements:
  Local colleges and universities have identified and agreed upon courses that will transfer to 4-year institutions. Transfer agreements have been established with a number of colleges and universities.
• Special Programs:
