The information presented is an unofficial guide to how courses may transfer. Other factors to consider are grades received in the courses, the year in which the course was taken, and the major pursued after transfer. In all instances, final decisions about acceptance of course credit will be made by Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College.

If you complete the following at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College:

  • 3 hours. Co-requisite: BIOL 2050L. Prerequisite: BIOL 2107 and 2107L with a grade of C or higher or BIOL 2012 and 2012L with a grade of C or higher. Three hours of lectures each week. A study of the basic microorganism including pathogens, culturing, methods of staining, disinfection and disease. Fall, Spring, Summer.

  • 1 hour. Two one-hour laboratory periods each week to accompany BIOL 2050. Fall, Spring, Summer.

You may receive up to 4.00 credits at Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College:

  • This is a detailed study of microbiology as it relates to infection and the disease processes of the body. Topics include immunity, epidemiology, medically important microorganisms, and diagnostic procedures for identification.

Orangeburg-Calhoun Tech does not generally accept courses older than 7 years for transfer, however, they may be received by appealing this decision to the Dean of the Academic Program under consideration.

Minimum Grade

You need a minimum grade of C to transfer these courses from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College to Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College.
