  • This course is a study in advanced topics of the Java programming language by building on a basic knowledge of the Java language. Topics covered will include multi-reading, swing classes, swing event models, advanced layout managers, the Javabean component model, network programming and server-side programming. Prerequisite: CPT 236 with a grade of C or higher.

  • An introduction to problem-solving and analytical methods. Topics include basic syntax and programming experience, stepwise refinement, and structured and modular design methods. Course environment will be both lecture and practicum. Prerequisite or corequisite: One of the following: MATH 111, 112, 121, 131, OR 211. Four semester hours.
