The information presented is an unofficial guide to how courses may transfer.   • Pronunciation, vocabulary building, principles of grammar and reading, and introduction to Hispanic cultures. Idiomatic communication in the spoken language.   • Course for students with no previous experience in Spanish study. The fundamentals of grammar and vocabulary are taught, and a foundation is provided for building oral and written proficiency. Three hours a week of classroom instruction and one hour a week in the language laboratory. Coreq: SPAN 1011.
