Description: Proposal and Grant Writing offers a rhetorical approach to writing academic and business proposals and grant proposals, focusing on creating the best possible persuasive argument for a given audience and context. In addition, the course will cover creating Requests for Proposals and the proposal writing process from reading and analyzing RFPs, to drafting and production of the final document, to presenting effectively during the proposal approval process. Students will leave the course with polished, professionally designed and edited documents, as well as a vocabulary for discussing grants and proposal research and writing during the job search. Prerequisite: Completion of WRIT 101 with a grade of C- or better.
