SPED 218 (Formerly SPED 318). Characteristics of Learning Disabilities. 3(3,0). An introductory course to specific learning disabilities that includes the identification and characteristics, of those factors that may impinge upon effective learning. Emphasis will be placed on research, theoretical approaches, psychoevaluation, and differential diagnosis. Twenty hours of pre-clinical experience and five hours of service learning are required in an appropriate school or agency setting. Prerequisite: SPED 216. (F)
