Description:
Theoretical and applied approaches to present day environmental problems will be presented and critically discussed. Emphasis is placed on the solutions and future impacts. Students will be presented overviews of several environmental issues. and will generate a comprehensive analysis of the associated technical, economic, social and political issues and proposed solutions. The class will meet with several state and federal agencies involved in present day environmental issues providing students with exposure to "real world" applications. Each student will be required to give an oral presentation. Three lecture hours and three seminar hours per week.
