Description:
An introduction to the fundamentals of atmospheric physics, meteorology, and climatology. All scales of atmospheric phenomena will be examined from the global circulation to hurricanes. Emphasis will be placed on current concerns such as ozone depletion, acid rain, and global warning. In the lab, students will analyze real-time global data available on the Internet. Three lecture and three laboratory hours per week. S'98.
