Discusses concepts of gene regulation and the use of computational and statistical methods, as well as computer programs, to solve genomics problems. Specifically, the role of transcription factors and chromatin in gene regulation, functional genomics data types, analysis pipelines, computational methods and strategies, results interpretation, and plotting figures are addressed. Preq: BCHM 8100 or GEN 8100 or GEN 8140 or consent of instructor.
