This course covers the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendments of the Federal Constitution, with a primary focus on Fourth Amendment search and seizure issues and constitutional limitations on police. Issues pertaining to Miranda and police interrogations, police line-ups, privacy and technology, and police interactions with citizens, particularly those related to selective enforcement, racial profiling, and police use of force, are also explored. Preq: JUST 2880 or SOC 2880.
