This course provides a broad outline of basic legal concepts in the context of recreation and sport at all levels, professional and amateur. As such, students will be introduced to legal structures, case law, sport-related court cases, and legal precedents. Upon completion of this course, students will have a basic understanding of the legal issues that directly impact the sport industry and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the law as it applies to professional and amateur sports.
