Comparison of eugenic practices in the United States and Germany, 1900-1945. Topics include hospitalization, medical experimentation, sterilization, euthanasia, infanticide, and extermination of disabled people, as well as the disproportionate impact of these practices on women, children, and LGBT people. Prerequisite: HIST U101, HIST U102, HIST U105, HIST U106 or HIST U198; or consent of instructor.
