Examines marginality and how it applies directly to health locally, nationally, and/or globally. Explores the role of health professionals and researchers as they apply marginalization concepts. This course uses multidisciplinary sources (biological, sociological, behavioral, theological, and/or ethical) in analyzing the constructs and propositions of marginality. A primary outcome of this course is a greater understanding of marginality as it relates to health and health outcomes. Preq: Junior standing.
