Description:
This course facilitates the design and implementation of a project which makes concrete use of all aspects of data science, including identifying a data source, cleaning and organizing the data, conducting appropriate statistical analysis, and interpreting and reporting the results of the study in a standard scholarly form. Finding an appropriate project and data source with suitable characteristics for a data science-oriented study is an important component of the course. This course is intended to be taken in the final semester of degree progress. Preq: COMM 3130 and CPSC 2120 and MATH 4700.
