Description:
The student works individually in either an academic or industrial environment. The scope and intent of the work is developed in consultation with a designated faculty advisor and the Department Head. The student must have an approved mentor at the job site, and must spend at least five hours a week working at the job site or performing equivalent tasks. The student must keep a journal which will be reviewed by the faculty advisor each week. The Mentor will present a progress evaluation each month. The student will present a final written and oral report. The student may repeat the course with permission of the Department Head.
