Description:
The student, individually or in a small group, pursues research on a topic in Physics. The scope and intent of the research is developed in consultation with a designated faculty advisor. The student must define the problem; study the back- ground readings; secure laboratory space if needed; develop a procedure including any use of equipment and supplies; organize the experimental tasks; work through to a conclusion; and submit a written and oral report. The student must consult with the faculty advisor at least once each week. The student may repeat the course with permission of the Department Head.
