Description:

This course allows the student to focus on acute behavioral healthcare (mental health) and the care of individuals with chronic behavioral health issues who 497 recieve their care in the community rather than institutional settings. The South Carolina Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics with Interpretive Statements are incorporated throughout the course. Students will continue to work with information management systems to provide safe and effective nursing care.
