Description:
This course is an introduction to theatrical devising. Students will be introduced to devising techniques designed to develop ensemble, train the body, and deepen theatrical experiment. Techniques derive from physical theatre, performance art, and creative writing strategies developed by a diverse range of artists and groups who have created theatre in alternative ways over the last century. Students will engage in the creation of regular short performances and a series of in-depth devising projects.
