This course aims to examine the tension between tradition and innovation throughout Jewish history, as well as in more recent times, with emphasis on Israeli culture's unconventional, outside-the-box approach. Students will examine issues pertaining to that semester's theme that shine light on the Jewish tradition's influence on Jews' innovative approaches.
