(3 credits)(Must be Junior standing) Managing health care data has the potential to reduce costs, enhance quality, and improve population health. Health data analytics and visualization is an important component of understanding health outcomes. This course facilitates knowledge and skills needed to analyze health data and, more importantly, draw conclusions from the analysis. This course does not use advanced mathematics to solve problems but instead relies on computer technology, especially graphs, histograms, pie charts, and mapping visualization, to examine and understand data more intuitively and visually.
