This introductory course serves to familiarize students with the profession and discipline of Human Services through an exploration of its history, theories, major concepts, and career opportunities. The course also introduces students to human service populations served, programming, federal/state policy, case management, agencies and organizations, professional development, professional helping skills, and ethics.
