This course is an experiential introduction to creative writing. The course focus or theme may vary among the four major literary genres: poetry, fiction, drama, and literary nonfiction. The emphasis is on technique, process, and theory as well as on completing a polished piece of writing. The course includes extensive readings from a wide range of writers. Prerequisite: a "C" or better in ENGL 102 or instructor permission. Three credit hours.
