Description: This video course will explore the theory and practice of time-based art with an emphasis on its technology, circulation, and cultural context. This course builds on the principles and techniques learned in Introduction to Video, advancing the student's understanding of editing strategies, video installation methods, collaboration, and site-specific projection. While a large portion of this course is dedicated to exploration and experimentation, there will also be emphasis on completing individual projects, one of which will be presented for a public screening at the end of the semester. Notes: Offered in fall and spring.
