Description: This course will examine theories and skills of leadership in the context of professional learning and advocacy in health and physical education. Students will learn about the necessity of continued professional learning and advocacy as critical parts that guide physical education teachers' professional behavior. In this course students will develop the ability to pursue opportunities for professional growth and development, build broad support for advocacy campaigns among community stakeholders and policymakers, and to market themselves as future physical educators. Prerequisite: PETE 101. Notes: Offered in spring.
