This course explores how Hollywood films and television miniseries have portrayed and shaped the legacies of American presidents and their administrations. The course delves into the presidency-Hollywood nexus in American politics to understand why there has been such a strong connection between the White House and the film and television industries since the advent of motion pictures. Students expand their knowledge and understanding of the portrayal of the American presidency in films and television through structured viewings of classic films and miniseries on American presidents.
