This team-taught course covers various topics in Microbiology, including genetics, genomics, pathogenic (prokaryotic, eukaryotic), and immunology. The goals of this class are to expose students to cutting-edge microbial science, including hypothesis development, experiment design and implementation, data analysis and presentation, and written and oral scientific communication. Students are expected to have completed undergraduate coursework in biological sciences and at least one undergraduate course in microbiology prior to enrolling in this course.
