Description: Studio art course designed to expand knowledge and skill in metalsmithing and jewelry design as a medium of conceptual and aesthetic expression. Course projects will focus on angle raising, mechanisms (hinge making, brooch backs, catches), surface decoration techniques, and small-scale sculpture. Notes: Offered in fall and spring. Course may be repeated for a total of 6 credit hours.
