The course covers determination of stresses, deflections, and stability of deformable bodies with an introduction to finite elemental analysis. By successfully completing this course, students will be able to identify, formulate, and solve problems related to the effect of forces on deformable bodies. An emphasis will be placed on the behavior of beams and columns.
