This course will provide an overview of health information management including computer technology, information management and distribution, and practice implications. Students will explore technological resources designed to improve communication, education, and delivery of healthcare and evaluate legal and ethical issues related to health information systems. Additionally, students will employ information technology to improve healthcare delivery by designing support tools to improve clinical practice, promote public health, and enhance disease management.
