This course introduces students to important social, political and cultural issues facing Russia today. We will watch films, read contemporary Russian literature, and study Russian media to gain insights into the country, its people and its culture. We will explore a variety of topics, including: race and immigration, protest, memory, spirituality, money, media, family and politics.
