Description: Theories and perspectives for analyzing the role of digital media and information technologies in digital communities. Examines contemporary social, cultural, political, and economic topics relating to the adoption of digital media and the Internet, including media literacy, effects and culture. Includes creation of digital content for the web and applications, including the use of social media. Prerequisite: C- or better in HMXP 102 and 2.0 GPA. Notes: Offered in spring.
