This course introduces concepts essential to basic nursing practice. Nursing's historical evolution as a profession through theory, concept and role development will be presented. An overview of medical terminology and medication calculations is provided as rudimentary skills that promote effective interpretation and communication within the health disciplines, and the mathematical calculations required to adminster pharmaceutical agents.
