Description: The study and practice of aerial dance technique, improvisation, and composition. Notes: Offered periodically in the fall. Courses can be repeated for a total of 2 credit hours. Dance major status or permission of instructor required. Lab fee: $50. Prerequisite: Students must be declared dance majors to enroll in this course. Due to the physical demands of aerial dance, students must be injury-free and in good physical condition. Corequisite: Students must be concurrently enrolled in either majors Modern or Ballet Technique course (DANA 112, 122, 212, 222, 312, 322) for the semester while taking the Aerial Dance Technique course. Should a student elect to drop their major technique course, they will be asked to also drop the Aerial Dance Technique course.
