Description: This course will provide students with the fundamental paddling and rescue skills needed for moving water kayaking day trips. There will be trips taken off campus to satisfy class requirements. Students will identify and practice fundamental wellness skills. Students must demonstrate beginning level swimming skills. Prerequisite: Students must demonstrate beginning level swimming skills. Notes: A grade of S or U is recorded for this course. The entire class is held over the course of a single weekend during the respective semester. Offered in fall. Lab Fee: $150.
