Description: This course is designed to prepare students to work with families of diverse world cultures, societies and languages within the school and the community. Students will explore social, cultural and economic issues that shape human behavior and affect the current practices in education. Students will examine the influence of these factors on student achievement, family relationships and educational practices as they relate to the family. Notes: A grade of "C" or better must be earned, and this course cannot be taken as S/U. Offered in fall and spring. Course previously offered as EDCI 210.
