This course is an introduction to Complementary and Alternative Medicine Therapies (CAM). Major therapies identified by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) are explored including the evidence to support their use, safety and contraindications for use, and training of CAM practitioners. Special attention is given to therapies most commonly integrated into holistic nursing practice and evidence-based decision-making regarding CAM use and its integration into health care and health promotion.
