This course introduces Cadets to the Army and the Profession of Arms. Students will examine what it means to be a professional in the U.S. Army. The overall focus is on developing basic knowledge and comprehension of the Army Leadership Requirements Model while gaining an understanding of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) program, its purpose in the Army, and its advantages for the student. Cadets also learn how resiliency and fitness supports their development as an Army leader. Cadets apply their knowledge and understanding in a lab, a field setting held off campus during weekly practical exercises. (2 hrs. classroom, 3 hrs. lab, weekly) Three semester hours.
