This course is designed to be one of the last classes a criminology major takes and is structured so that students conduct independent research on a topic of criminological interest as well as learn to apply their knowledge and skills after graduation. In addition to the research project, the course will cover major topics, concerns, and paradigms in criminology, provide discussion of the role of criminologists in society, and include strategies for using a criminology degree in the future. Prerequisite: "C" or better in SOCI.398. Three credit hours.
